When you’re shining up your presence on LinkedIn, you’ll be adding things like a good profile photo, measurable deliverables, and a snappy, searchable headline. Maybe you’ll be taking LinkedIn Learning courses to add to your profile, or adding posts about industry events you attended. This is all great!

Here’s what you don’t need on LinkedIn: your personal thoughts. This is about as interesting to HR as talking about your dreams at parties is to your friends. Nobody asked for it! Plus it could get you flagged as a high-risk option.
